HOW DOES HYPNOSIS WORK?
What many people don't realise is that Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state of mind that happens to everyone daily. Use what advertising companies have used against you to improve your life.
CAN I GET STUCK IN HYPNOSIS?
In over three centuries of Hypnosis, there has never been one recorded event of someone being stuck in hypnosis. In fact, as it is a natural state, if suggestions ceased during Hypnosis, you would awaken shortly after, or go into a natural sleep (if you were exhausted from a long day).
Will I remember what happens to me in Hypnosis?
Yes, when a person enters Hypnosis, they will remember everything their subconcious mind deems them conciously able to handle. If the person has endured terrible trauma and their mind deems them able to cope with this information, their subconcious will release that information at a rate that ensures the conscious mind is not disturbed beyond its capacity.
Will I feel everything that happens to me in Hypnosis?
Yes, a person in Hypnosis is able to become more focused then that which is normal for them. Because of this although being extremely relaxed, they would feel it if the therapist tapped them on the shoulder. Physical sensations remain unless suggestion work is being conducted by the client and therapist, in which case the client will retain memory of such suggestions
Can Anyone be Hypnotised?
Every person of average Intelligence (above 80 IQ), no problems.
Hypnosis is a naturally occuring state of awareness that we enter into many times each day. Infact, if a person says they have never been hypnotised then they would be very very tired as Hypnosis is the state you drift through during your progression into natural sleep at night.
Other times a person naturally enters into Hypnosis is when they are watching Television and dont notice advertisements have come on until a couple of minutes later or when a person talks to you during TV and you dont even hear them, or driving along listening to music and you've tuned out and not noticed the traffic lights are changing or what street you are on, or you are thinking about something so hard that you missed someone entering the room. These are all natural examples of Hypnosis in action.
What determines a persons hypnotisability is their ability to follow instructions, their ability to let go, and most importantly their education of hypnosis which dispels any fear they may have. When a person realises they have been hypnotised many times a day, they begin to connect in that instant to their own ability to improve their lives.
Can I be made to do things I dont want to do?
In short, No. If a suggestion is given to you in Hypnosis that you disagree with, your Subconcious mind will reject the suggestion and if offensive enough, will emerge you from hypnosis with full memories of what was said.
The reason Stage Hypnotists turn people into chickens (which we dont do in Hypnotherapy) is because the people who get onto the stage do so with the preconceived notion of being a performer in front of people. The Hypnotist simply uses this attribute to encourage the person to be a star for an audience.
Will I still be able to hear in Hypnosis?
This misconception has probably come about due to another common misconception which equates the state of hypnosis with sleep.
A lot of people believe that when they are hypnotized they will not be aware of anything that is happening around them. Yet, if you lost all connection with the hypnotist, how could you follow the instructions?
While the level of awareness of your surroundings may shift to some degree, you will still be aware of the hypnotist or his voice. The better you are able to play the game of "let's pretend" and immerse yourself in your subjective reality (inner world experiences), the less will you be aware of your surroundings in the way that you are accustomed to. That's why we call it - "altered reality". In this altered reality, your awareness of the hypnotist may change and you may interpret him as someone else - maybe a friend or a stranger or magician - but you will still be aware of the hypnotist's voice.
Is Hypnosis Guaranteed?
How can you guarantee Human behaviour?
Again, the hypnotist can't make you do something you don't really want to do. So if you don't really want to quit smoking, you won't quit. We can only guarantee to provide you with 100% of your energy and time in working with you.
However, if you do honestly want the change and you can follow the instructions of the therapist, you can achieve phenomenal and rapid successful change that is unsurpassed by any other field, and that is something worth taking notice of, isnt it?
